Little Havana is entering an exciting new era, and the City of Miami just put real money behind it. Miami commissioners approved a $7 million funding allocation aimed at revitalizing Calle Ocho, the historic corridor and cultural heartbeat of the neighborhood. The funding is designed to strengthen public safety, improve street sanitation, and support beautification efforts along the corridor, all while the city works toward establishing a long-term Business Improvement District that will give property owners and local stakeholders a lasting role in shaping the street’s future. For anyone considering a move to Miami, this is a signal of where the momentum is building, and it points directly to Little Havana.
For future residents of Havana Enclave, this adds another compelling reason to call this neighborhood home. Calle Ocho is not a side street. It is the heart of Little Havana, home to legendary spots like Domino Park, the Tower Theater, and a stretch of Cuban coffee windows, cigar shops, and live music venues that draw visitors from around the world. Investment in cleaner sidewalks, enhanced safety, and a more vibrant streetscape does more than improve appearances. It protects and elevates the very culture and energy that make Little Havana one of Miami’s most distinctive places.
This municipal commitment reflects a broader wave of confidence in Little Havana’s future, one that includes new development, renewed civic attention, and growing interest from renters who want authenticity alongside modern convenience. Havana Enclave is being built at the center of this momentum. Residents will not just be living near Calle Ocho. They will be living inside a neighborhood that the city itself has decided is worth investing millions of dollars to protect and grow.
Renters today want a sense of place, a story, and a community that is moving forward. Havana Enclave was designed with this in mind, a place where residents can enjoy modern apartment living while being fully immersed in one of Miami’s most culturally rich and increasingly celebrated neighborhoods. As the city continues to invest in Calle Ocho’s future, Havana Enclave stands ready to welcome renters who want to be part of that story from the very beginning.

Developer The Astor Companies continues to make incredible progress on the construction of Havana Enclave as it moves closer to its expected completion in the first quarter of 2027. Havana Enclave reflects Astor’s commitment to meet Miami’s housing needs and help the city it calls home reach its full potential.
Havana Enclave General Contractor BDI Construction installed water meter boxes on the south side of the building and mailboxes in the mailroom, while commencing installation of the employee lounge kitchen. This follows the start of power testing in different areas of Havana Enclave, and installation of security cameras and pool-area landscaping trees.
